Haunting new acoustic session from O'Death & 'Outside' is out now!‏

Following the release of the single ‘Bugs’ last week, O’Death’s album ‘Outside’ is out now through City Slang! After an extended hiatus, the band have returned with this stunning release, and if that wasn’t enough, the band recorded a live session back in March, and you can see it now.

Produced by Billy Pavone whose previous clients have includedThe Fall, Asobi Seksu and White Rabbits; ‘Outside’ is the most impressive album of the band's career. After recording for two months – their longest recording stint yet – they’ve created a record that is both the most subtle and massive accomplishment of the band's career, a darkly triumphant and free-flowing album that represents exactly where the songwriters have found themselves in this moment.

You can watch the band performing tracks from ‘Outside’ for Violitionist in Texas by following the links below:

Pontiak - Free mp3 and video from 'Comecrudos'

Pontiak's 'Comecrudos', which is due for release on Thrill Jockey in June 2011, was created as a soundtrack to the bold landscape the band encountered on a drive from Phoenix to the Big Bend area of Texas. The brothers; Van, Lain, and Jennings, were captivated by the sprawling landscape, the immensity and complexity of the geology and the beauty. They camped in an old volcano crater under a full moon and hiked ridges alongside the Rio Grande. Comecrudos is a soundtrack for the drive on Route 385 southbound from Marathon, Texas.

The band recommends listening to the album whilst driving, windows rolled down, music at full volume, the dust hanging in the air. Or on the subway - imagining you are in a car driving with the widows rolled down, music at full volume, the dust hanging in the air.

You can grab a sneak preview in the form of a free mp3 here.
